This week's entry for 'good fridays' will contain more eye candy than words. I am recuperating from being hit by a semi-truck of germs that caused my joints to be sore and my head to be stuck to a pillow. I am convinced the germs of 2011 are some of the strangest critters on the planet and are wreaking havoc in our home. I am thankful I survived (I know, I am a drama queen) and can think of 3 things to be thankful for from the last week.
1. Last Saturday we took a family trip to the State Historical Society. What a gem of a place! We will be back . . .
2. Maddi and I attended a Valentine Dance for 'Circle of Friends', a group who serves the special needs community of our school district. Here Maddi is seen playing ball with one of her favorite kids, Jeffrey.
3. Monday morning was a no-school day and in true fashion, the younger kiddos did not take advantage of sleeping in. Fortunately they are old enough to keep themselves entertained while I keep the bed warm. I awoke to silence and was worried they had been abducted. No fear! They were found in the living room quietly reading.

All fun. All good. Esp. little ones reading! And, we have the germs here, too -- I didn't say anything since I was trying to be positive -- but they are positively everywhere!
umm..today's your BIRTHday?? How's that for good? God's grace extends to you (to me!) the weakest of the weak! Amen! I am celebrating YOU today, friend. That we will meet again ;-)
and I love your Maddi. Just love her heart. We enjoyed talking about her yesterday.
1) All 3 girls had surprise strep throat. Surprise because not a single one had a sore throat or fever -- just 1 with a cough that I decided to have the doc check. She swabbed positive, so the other 2 were tested and **POOF**!!!! This is a good thing because they were the healthiest sick bunch I've ever known!
2) As a result of said sick children, we were **FORCED** to have a jammie/movie/relaxing day home together :)
3) Sugar aced her spelling test, despite missing 3 days of school this week.
LOVE THE PICTURES! Happy FRIDAY!
It's good the kiddies are old enough to have some non parent time. A red letter day for me was when Sheldon could make it to the bathroom to barf without puking on the floor.
I love that your kiddos got up, were quiet and speant their time READING. Holy cow! What's your secret??? :)
I am in total agreement. This year's germs seem so much worse!
Waking up to silence...with the kiddos awake...now that's something for which I'd be truly thankful! :)
Amy!!! Where have you gone? I miss you charming and hilarious comments. Seriously, hope everything is okay.
